Get Up
02:53
|
|||
Late night situation
It’s getting close to last call
I don’t know who won the fight
It’s hard to tell when you’ve been punching the wall
Blank tape, no condition to be making a decision at all
I’m on a roll, can’t stop now – Somebody just make the call
Up all night
I don’t know why
I feel like
I’m alive tonight
Get up!
Back seat, enjoying the ride
But there’s nobody behind the wheel
Little angel takes my hand and says
“baby tell me how do I feel?”
Up all night
I don’t know why
I feel like
I’m alive tonight
Get up!
Late night, no condition to be making a decision at all
I’m on a roll, can’t stop now – Somebody just make the call
Up all night
I don’t know why
I feel like
I’m alive tonight
Get up!

I feel like some nights
You’re here, still mine
Feel light and dreamlike
But the night’s gone
The light steals everything
I’m trying every way I can to forget about you
I can’t remember how I ever lived without you
You, I don’t wanna know the truth
I just need to know the deal
Couldn’t see it on your face
Would it kill you just to say?
Situations change
Did you love me true?
Were there things I could have said?
You’re still beautiful
I’m trying every way I can to forget about you
I can’t remember how I ever lived without you
Getting over you every single day
Further from the truth
Situations change
Things I could have said
To make you wanna stay
We’re better off this way
And it terrifies me
I’m trying every way I can to forget about you
I can’t remember how I ever lived without you

Everybody Knows
04:29
|
|||
I’ve been living with you cuz it’s easy
I ain’t got too many reasons
To pack it in before now
You been dealing with me cuz it’s crazy
Can’t get free from all of the treasons
Oh man, I’d’ve forgiven you before now
I won’t take you with me cuz it’s crazy
Now I just got too many reasons
Oh babe, believe me when I say
Baby I’ve been wrong before
Everybody knows when it’s time to go
Everybody knows it but you
I can’t get the images out of my head
Stored up like meat in the freezer
Going bad, starting to make me sick
You can’t make it better, I won’t let you
I ain’t had too many reasons for going deep
Or leaving you before
But baby I’ve been wrong before
Everybody knows when it’s time to go
Everybody knows it but you

Something You Needed
03:19
|
|||
Like a fire without a light
I could give you something that you needed
Something to believe in
Won’t be denied
Late at night
I could give you something that you needed
Sometimes faith is so deceiving
Even love is misleading
But it feels all right
They won’t believe you
Sometimes the shame is all they see
Even love is misleading
Don’t stop the pain, but it’ll stop the bleeding
But it feels all right
Wait so long
For the right kind of wrong
I could give you something that you needed
Something you can feel
We both know what you’re needing
Deep inside
They won’t believe you
Sometimes the shame is all they see
Even love is misleading
Don’t stop the pain, but it’ll stop the bleeding
But it feels all right
Through the night
Didn’t know what love was for
Until you’re crawling cross the floor
Down on your hand and knees
Pray to God
I could give you something that you needed
Something to believe in
Even love is misleading
Sometimes faith is so deceiving
They won’t believe you
Sometimes the shame is all they see
Even love is misleading
Don’t stop the pain, but it’ll stop the bleeding
But it feels all right
Through the night
I could give you something that you needed
Something to believe in
Won’t stop the pain, but it’ll stop the bleeding

Somewhere (remaster)
04:12
|
|||
Somewhere, there’s somebody thinking ‘bout you
All night, just waiting
For some sign that you’re out there waiting for them
All night, just waiting
Sometimes, I’ll remember things that she said
How I couldn’t wait and see
Now it’s gonna be
“Hey where the hell have you been”
I can’t spend my whole life waiting
But I’m gonna be here all night
Just waiting
I’m still waiting for
The feeling that I had before
All you’ve got to do is
Tell me you’ve been waiting too
Sometimes, I’ll remember things that we did
So blind, just couldn’t wait and see
Now it’s gonna be
“Hey where the hell have you been”
I can’t spend my whole life waiting
But I’m gonna be here all night
Still waiting
I’m still waiting for
The feeling that I had before
All you’ve got to do is
Tell me you’ve been waiting too
I’m still here
Waiting for you

Flat Broke, dreamin’ for a living
Sold your girlfriends ride just to get a little money
Honey, Bunny, I know it ain’t funny
But I got two tickets for the show tonite
Gotta be right, tight, up in lights
Ain’t a good night unless it ends in a fistfight
Oh yeah I Love Rock n Roll
Feeling High,
Don’t stop till it’s gone
Feeling High,
Just for tonite
You’re in love
And that’s Rock n Roll
Take it, Break it, Fake it till you make it
Big like a rock star -don’t care who you think you are
Oh, sweat , hot up in this joint
Black Flag t-shirt on at this point
Loud guitars, PBR’s
Battle scars from those punk rock bars
Oh yeah I Love Rock n Roll
Going out
To the front of the line
Late at night
Step inside
Oh yeah I Love Rock n Roll
Train tracks, don’t wanna go back home
Pretty little number wanna call her on the cell phone
Pretty, biddy, out of her brain
Strip-teasing on the pole of a subway train
Gritty, city, ain’t it just a pity
Ride a trash can home and gotta do it all alone
Oh , hey you – Can I see your tattoo?
Oh baby, no? Well fuck you.
Oh yeah
I can’t wait to do it again
Oh yeah
I can’t wait to see all my friends
Oh yeah
I love Rock n Roll
That’s Rock n Roll

One Of These Kids
03:41
|
|||
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is kind of insane
I can hear them behind my back
I can see them in my tracks
Just wanted to tell you
I’m just like you
But something tells me
That’s not what you see…
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
Some of these kids are kind of the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is kind of insane
I can feel them in my tracks
I can hear them talking behind my back
Just wanted to show you
There’s something I can do
You won’t forget me
When I take your last heartbeat
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
Some of these kids are kind of the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids says
Everybody’s laughing at me
One day they’ll see….
Everybody’s thoughts and prayers
Everybody everywhere
Acting like they always cared
Laughing, pointing “He’s the one!’
Finally come undone
I don’t even own a gun
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is just not the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is kind of insane

Keep on running
But I never arrive
Turn the page
To read the same lie
Need to think
But I’ve lost my mind
Need a moment
But I’ve got no time
You save my life
But you turn the knife
You keep telling me it’s all right nothing's wrong
If you keep killing me one day I’ll be gone
Just keep looking
But I cannot see
Doctor says she don’t know what’s wrong with me
I can’t find another way
You keep telling me it’s all right nothing's wrong
If you keep killing me one day I’ll be gone
You save my life
But you turn the knife
You keep telling me it’s all right nothing's wrong
If you keep killing me one day I’ll be gone

03:27
|
|||
I know you’re never gonna be my little girl
I know you’re never gonna be my baby
I know you’re never gonna be my girl
So why you always making me so crazy
I know you’re never gonna be my little girl
I bet you always go to church on Sunday
I bet you’re always on time
I know you’ll never be my baby
I know you’re never gonna be my little girl
You’re never gonna be mine
You’re never gonna
That don’t mean we shouldn’t have a little fun babe
You can call me up any time
I know you’ll never be my baby
You know you’ll never be mine
Just cuz you never doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ever babe
You might just find that I’m just your type
I know you’ll never be my baby
I know you’re never gonna be my little girl
You could take me home
Meet dad and mom
I’ll play it real nice
But we both know
Ain’t how its gonna go
So just turn out the lights
I know you’ll never be my little girl
I bet you always go to church on Sunday
I bet you’re always on time
I know you’ll never be my baby
I know you’ll never be mine
Just cuz you never doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ever babe
You might just find that I’m just your type
I know you’ll never be my baby
I know you’re never gonna be my little girl
You’re never gonna
You’re never gonna be mine
I know you’ll never be my little girl

Vagabond Society
DARREN RAY(guitar, lead vox), MATT HANKLE(drums, vox) & OLIVER HOFER(bass) met while touring as the band for Blue Man Group. On the side the band performed 100's of covers in bars until it became clear that their musical chemistry demanded they write some original material. The boys got together in NYC to write and record an EP which ultimately lead to finishing enough music for their debut LP. ... more
